I’m the founder & lead designer of Bloom Weddings, wife, and big sister to five siblings.

When I was 5 years old, I drew flowers on my notebook in class. I was an immigrant, I was in a new country, in a new town and in a new school and I did not know how to read or write English. All I knew was how to draw flowers and say “yes” or “no.”

So when kids at school would ask me if I pick my nose? I would take a guess and say “yes.” They would all giggle and I would feel confused.

One day at school, our class was given a project to make our own floral arrangement using floral foams and some flowers picked from our school garden. This was the day where my love for flowers was born. I felt like I was transported to another universe. Away from the giggling kids.

Today my hands are knee-deep in flowers, creating beautiful arrangements for my clients.

My grandma, my former colleagues, my old boss, my past clients, all the way to someone who I don’t even know on my Instagram, they all say the same thing.

“Your floristry skill is top notch.”
